ALN Support Service
"To give our children a fine start in life we must see that their surroundings satisfy their need for activity and development, remembering at the same time that our own part is not that of instructor and interferer but of helper" - Maria Montessori
At CMS we are aware that a traditional 9am to 3pm school day is not suited to all children with neuro-diversity. Many parents of these children have opted for homeschooling to best meet the needs of their children and these children often spend large parts of their days at home with a carer or therapist. Maria Montessori first developed her materials to aid the development of children with additional learning needs (ALN) and here at CMS we want to increase access to her materials and methodology to children with ALN.
CMS currently has plans to open an ALN Support service. Children will be able to attend with their carer or therapist. They will have the opportunity to access various facilities and small group classes. A Montessori Facilitator will also get to know all the children and is available to help guide the adults with which activities are best suited to the children.
Below are details of some of the facilities and activities available.
